Monthly Presentation: The Ark Encounter

Board member, Virgil Anderson, will present this updated talk titled **The Ark Encounter: How the Ark Encounter Construction Was Subsidized With Kentucky Tax Dollars**.
The Ark Encounter is a Christian theme park located in Williamstown, KY which opened in 2016. It features a 510′ long representation of Noah’s Ark from the Genesis flood story in the Bible.
The Arc Encounter has defied the U.S. Constitution because it was built using public funding and now openly engages in discriminatory hiring practices.
Founded by Australian creationist, Ken Ham, and operated by his company Answers in Genesis (AiG), the theme park promotes pseudoscientific young Earth creationist beliefs about the age of the universe, age of the Earth, and co-existence of humans and non-avian dinosaurs.
Virgil first presented this talk in 2016, shortly after the Ark Encounter opened. In this updated talk he will bring us up to date on what has happened since the park opened.
