Heathen Hikers – Red Rock Canyon through the Quarry

Welcome to our Heathen Hikers event, a casual bi-weekly wander where we’ll adventure away from the city bustle of Colorado Springs.
On this May the 4th we’ll hike around the most other-worldly place I can think of around here, through the quarry at Red Rock Canyon.
Be sure to notice that this park has **multiple parking lots** and entrances and get to the right one! From the main entrance you will drive past the 1st parking lot and go until it dead-ends.
Most hikes will be around 3 miles of not-too-difficult terrain. Kids and friendly dogs are both welcome.
Please remember to bring the important stuff like water, snacks, sunscreen, layers and a friendly attitude. Really bad conditions will cause us to postpone a hike for another day, but if it isn’t too sloppy or icy we’ll likely still still walk.
We’ll start walking about 5 minutes after the posted start time, so if you’re running late just catch up.
