**Doors open at 2:30 and speaker event starting at 3pm**
Join us in hearing David Condo, retired FBI agent, speak to us and provide a basic overview of the FBI (to include common misconceptions), its role in hate crime cases, and guidance on how people can recognize, and report hate crimes to local and/or federal authorities. He will also discuss resources available to victims, lessons learned from previous investigations, and how freethought groups can protect themselves. A Question & Answer session will follow the main presentation.
Speaker David Condo joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1999. He worked white collar crime and online child exploitation investigations in Baltimore, Maryland for seven years and was a founding member of the Innocent Images International Task Force. He then worked in various leadership roles and other assignments in Washington DC; Phoenix, Arizona; Anchorage, Alaska; and Cincinnati, Ohio. David’s first experience with the secular community was attending the Godless Americans March on Washington in 2002, and he has supported multiple organizations over the years dedicated to the separation of religion and government. Before retiring from the FBI in 2024, he started an internal group for employees named Freethinking Feds. In January 2025, this and other internal groups were shut down as a result of presidential executive orders.
