Join us for a family-friendly barbecue picnic & potluck followed by a presentation on urban survival. **This event is open to the public and FREE for everyone**.
**Barbecue Picnic & Potluck – 2:00 pm**
* Bring a dish to share: Beverages (including beer and wine), a side dish, appetizer, or dessert.
* We’ll supply hamburgers and veggie burgers with buns and all the fixings, along with water and lemonade.
* No glass containers allowed.
* This event is limited to 40 adults, so register early!
**Urban Survival Presentation – 3:30 pm**
* Join us for a crash course on urban survival.
* **Mike Tomlinson**, a graduate of Wilderness Institute for Survival Education (WISE), is our presenter.
* What should you do if your car gets stuck in a snow drift?
* What items should be in your auto survival kit?
* What are the Do’s and Don’ts of modern day emergency planning?
**Directions from Boulder:** Take Valmont Road to 75th Street and go north just under a mile.
* **Take Walden Ponds Road to the end.**
* We’ll be at the **Cottonwood Marsh Picnic Shelter**.
* Carpooling is recommended since parking is limited.
